Desmond Dekker, R.I.P.
One of my favourite vocalists from the late sixties Desmond Dekker passed away last weekend at age 65 from a heart attack. A Rocksteady pioneer, he was one of the earlier exporters of the Jamaican sound. He will surely be missed.Here he is singing his huge British hit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2u_613xl11w

I must admit, I didn't know about Desmond Dekker until the news about his death, but I have heard some of his songs.
